Course Content The RYA Day Skipper intermediate course covers all aspects of skippering a modern cruising yacht, including boat handling, navigation, pilotage and seamanship skills. This certificate is necessary should you wish to charter a yacht in the UK or abroard. Minimum Previous Experience 5 days sailing, 100 miles logged and 4 night hours. Navigation knowledge to RYA Day Skipper Theory. Course Schedule This course is carried out over 2 weekends. One 2 day weekend (Friday evening until Sunday afternoon) and one 3 day weekend (Friday evening until Monday afternoon). 1900 hrs on Sunday until 1600 hrs on Friday.
