Meet the crew: Hot Liquid Sailing

JASON MANNING - Director
Being surrounded by boats all his life, Jason left Jersey to come to Southampton in 2002 and pursue a professional yachting career. Jason, an Ocean Yachtmaster and Yachtmaster Instructor has also competed in many offshore races including the Fastnet Race, several Trans-Atlantic & European yacht deliveries and a season in the Caribbean. As well as managing the Company, you may see Jason escaping the office and teaching on the water or skippering one of the race yachts.

ANTONIA NICHOLSON – Course Advisor
Antonia has been with Hot Liquid since 2006 where her main role is helping Jason manage the office and is one of your first points of contact as a customer.
Antonia learnt to sail as a teenager and started her sailing career in 1997 in Sydney. She was bitten by the bug and has been involved in all aspects of the industry since. Antonia is a qualified instructor for both RYA practical and theory courses and has taught numerous courses over the years. Having cruised all over the world and raced in many regattas and offshore events, Antonia has now settled on the Isle of Wight with her husband and new baby daughter.

CLAIRE HORNIDGE – Events Manager
Claire joined the Hot Liquid Team in 2009 to manage our corporate events and racing programme. Having organised the events for the Gipsy Moth project, managed a watersports centre in QLD, Australia and worked with an international yacht racing company, Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. She is also a qualified watersports instructor and keen windsurfer.

DAN COOK – Fleet Manager
Dan joined Hot Liquid in 2009 as Fleet Manager and brings a wealth of knowledge to the maintenance side of the fleet. Having started sailing from an early age with his family, and spending 5 years working in a chandlery and boatyard Dan has gained his RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Cruising Instructor qualifications. When he gets the time to leave his maintenance program he can often be found out on the water either teaching courses or competing in our racing events.

CLIVE DODD - Gibraltar Base Manager
Clive has been part of Hot Liquid since day one and runs the Hot Liquid Gibraltar base. Having been sailing for many years Clive is now an experienced Yachtmaster Instructor.
Clive lives in Spain with his family and brings a great deal of local knowledge to the centre. As one of our main instructors, you are likely to meet Clive on your course in Gibraltar, where he will be happy to pass on his knowledge and experience to you.

SIMON BRADSHAW – Chief Navigation Officer
Simon has been involved with Hot Liquid since its start and teaches many of our shore based courses. He has been sailing all his life, has owned several boats and was a keen dingy racer. Simon’s passion now is re building a Ferro Schooner that he lives on with his family. Simon brings his vast knowledge and enthusiasm into the classroom and you are likely to meet him whilst doing a shore based course.
