Hot Liquid offer the full range of RYA sailing courses to suit your sailing ambition and experience. We ensure that all our students receive an excellent level of tuition in the capable hands of our RYA qualified instructor's.
Our typical agenda is to firstly greet you at our dedicated RYA Training Centre in Southampton with light refreshments and a chance to relax with fellow crew before introducing you to your yacht. Your instructor will discuss the details of the yacht, including specific safety features and go over the course content. Any questions you may have will be answered to ensure you are completely confident before joining the yacht.
Our RYA training yachts are modern comfortable boats specifically equipped with the latest electronic navigation and safety equipment for students to use.
All RYA practical courses are inclusive of accommodation, meals onboard, refreshments and free secure parking throughout the period of the course.

| Skipper Development / Refresher | | Course Content | These bespoke courses can be tailored to your individual needs over a weekend or five days. They are ideal if you wish to develop your skills and confidence prior to your next RYA course, or for those who have not sailed for a while and simply need to get back on the water.
Our instructors will take into account your ability and goals and then build upon your existing skills. After some tuition on the specific areas you need to develop, you should feel more confident in your abilities and be able to get the best out of sailing. | RYA Day Skipper Module | | Course Content | This 2 week course is a time effective way to gain your RYA Competent Crew and RYA Day Skipper shore-based and practical qualifications.
Starting with the five day Competent Crew practical course you will learn the sailing basics and how to be an efficient crew member. This is followed by four days of theory in the classroom, introducing chartwork, navigation, safety and seamanship. This is where you learn the knowledge to make decisions on board. The module ends with the five day RYA Day Skipper practical course which is your first step towards skippering either your own or a charter yacht. | | Minimum Previous Experience | | None. | RYA Coastal Skipper Course | | Course Content | | The RYA Coastal Skipper course will guide you through inshore and offshore navigation, weather forecasting, watch keeping and preparation for sea. You will put this all into practice as each student plans and executes passages taking complete command of the yacht.
