Starting on the Saturday morning you will study the theory element for four days in our dedicated classroom. This course includes; tidal calculations, chart reading and navigation, collision regulations and meteorology. Tuesday afternoon you will sit two RYA exams based upon your new knowledge; exam one covers collision regulations and the second navigation.



Tuesday evening you will join our training yacht for the five day practical element. Under the guidance of an RYA instructor you will be introduced to all aspects of skippering a yacht including; sail trim, mooring, pilotage and anchoring. The practical exam is based upon continual assessment.



Upon successful completion of this combined course you will be awarded both RYA Day Skipper Theory and Practical certificates.
